ORIGINAL BLOG POST Today’s picture is dedicated to the family & friends of Paul Hannum. Paul, or “Paulie” as he was referred to by his friends, died last week due to complications from appendicitis. This is a tragedy of gigantic proportions and a shock to everyone involved. We truly offer our deepest sympathies. What I have learned about this man in the past few days is that I only wish I had the chance to know him. It seems like a cliché but he sure was loved by everyone that knew him. If when I leave this world I have half as many friends as he did…. I will have done good. Paul will be missed by more than just his friends… His fiancé Sarah is also pregnant with their child. As someone who lost his father at an early age… my heart really goes out to them. You all now have a chance to do something good for someone who did plenty for the poker community. The “Paul Hannum No Limit Hold’em Charity Tournament” will be held at the upcoming WPT Legends of Poker tournament - Tuesday, August 29th at 7pm at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA. $1,000 Buy in, play for prizes, cash for charity!
